AES Redondo Beach hosted its annual Power Harvest on Saturday, welcoming more than 700 people to the parking lot in front of the power plant's administration offices.

The event, which benefited local charity Cheer for Children, featured food trucks, a band, pumpkin decorating, face painting and more. Every hour, AES raffled off a variety of prizes, ranging from vacuum cleaner attachments to high-end boogie boards. AES employees ran the booths and collected donations for Cheer for Children.

AES representative Clarissa Cordova said the energy company would match 100 percent of all donations.

Visitors were also invited to take a tour of Plant 1—the older part of the plant.
