Made By Meg to Offer Farmers Market Fresh Fare

Redondo Beach's Made by Meg opens its retail location on Wednesday.

After five years running her popular Redondo Beach catering business, chef Meg Hall will open her newest venture, the Made By Meg cafe, this Wednesday.

Hall said that the new six-seat cafe will focus on fresh menu items with ingredients sourced from local farmers markets in Torrance and Santa Monica. With made to order meals as well as grab and go boxed meals, Hall said she hopes to provide a new take on quick serve dining in Redondo Beach.

Menu items at the cafe will include fresh salads, flat breads and sandwichis and will change based on what is available at the farmers markets. Hall said that the menu will also include some of her well-loved salad dressings and her macaroons.

While the current cafe only seats about six people, Hall said she hopes to add outdoor seating when the warmer summers months roll around.

Made By Meg, located at 234 South Pacific Coast Highway, hosted a soft opening for friends and family on Monday and will celebrate its grand opening on Wednesday beginning at 11 a.m.
