'Typographical Terrorist' Vandalizes HS

Vandalism at Redondo Union High School is expected to cost the school about $3,000, according to a report from Larry Altman on his Crime & Courts blog.

A "typographical terrorist" hit over the weekend, spray-painting graffiti on benches, walls, signs and other areas, according to a report from Daily Breeze reporter Larry Altman on his Crimes & Courts blog.

"I am not an artist," the vandal wrote in red paint, according to the report. "I am a typographical terrorist."

The damage is estimated at about $3,000, Altman reported.

Photos taken at the scene and posted on Twitter via Instagram show stenciled images of mouse holes, human-like figures and other symbols.

Redondo Union is not the only area high school that has been hit by vandals this year. in Rolling Hills Estates has dealt with "major vandalism" three times during the 2011-2012 school year.
