City Employees to Present Results of Vote of No Confidence to Council

Here's what to look forward to today in Redondo Beach.

Happy Tuesday! Here are five things Redondo Beach residents should know today:

  1. The Redondo Beach City Council will meet at 6 p.m. today to discuss CenterCal's plans to redevelop the harbor area. Redondo Beach Patch will live-blog this portion of the meeting.
  2. Before the council meeting, members of the Coalition of Redondo Employees (CORE), a group made up of city employees from different departments, will demonstrate outside city hall. CORE also plans to present to the council the results of a vote of no confidence over City Manager Bill Workman, according to a news release from the group. In a separate news release, Workman indicated that the employees were unhappy because the city would not meet employees' requests for, as he put it, "wages far beyond City's financial capacity."

  4. In case you missed it, Monday's top headline was Ex-Teacher Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison.
  5. Today's photo of the day was posted to Flickr's Creative Commons collection by Mike Miller. Want to submit your own photo of the day?
