Get a 'Taste of Education' Tonight

Here are some things to look forward to today in Redondo Beach.

Happy Wednesday! Here are five things Redondo Beach residents should know today:

  1. Tonight is the annual Redondo Beach Unified School District State of Education event. This year's theme is "A Taste of Education" and will feature some tasty morsels from Blue Zones-approved recipes, in addition to the education supporter of the year. The event will be at Adams Middle School, located at 2600 Ripley Ave. in North Redondo Beach. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m.; the program starts at 6:30 p.m.
  2. Patch wants to see your photos! Add them to our Redondo Beach Snapshot open blog. For more information on the open blog, check out this introductory post.
  3. To sign up for breaking news alerts, visit our breaking news category and click "Get email updates." (If it says you're signed up, but you're not receiving the alerts, click "Unsubscribe." Then click "Get email updates" to resubscribe. That should fix the issue.)
  4. In case you missed it, Tuesday's top headline was CEC to Conduct Hearing on AES Redondo Beach.
  5. Today's photo of the day was added to the Redondo Beach Snapshot open blog by Cindy Quick Andrews. Want to submit your own photo? Email it to redondobeach@patch.com; add it to the Redondo Beach Snapshot open blog; tweet it to @RedondoBchPatch; post it on the Redondo Beach Patch Facebook page; or tag it #rbpatch on Instagram. Patch reserves the right to publish any submitted photos at its discretion.
