Many people are intimidated to ride bicycles on the road. Through education and practice this Safe Street Cycling course builds your personal confidence for riding a bicycle safely on the road. The instructors are experienced League of American Bicyclists Instructors and USA Cycling Coaches.

Week 1: Roadway positioning, traffic laws, crash prevention

Week 2: Group riding etiquette, helmet fit check, flat tire change clinic and when to maintain your bike
Week 3: On bike safety skills, left turn options and 5 mile practice ride
This is an adult level class for people age 18 and up. The cost is FREE, but participants must be a member of the Beach Cities Cycling Club ($25.00/year). Class size is limited to 15 participants to ensure adequate one-on-one instruction.
