Plaza El Segundo will welcome the holiday season with a special tree lighting ceremony and community celebration on Friday, November 22.
The festivities will begin at 5 p.m. in the Kid’s Zone throughout The Edge, including the Radio Disney Road Show from 5 to 7p.m. in front of The Counter, The Elf on the Shelf scavenger hunt, live entertainment, stilt walkers, balloons, face painting and free treats. Families may also visit with Santa and take photos on the Whole Foods Market patio for $10 from 5 to 9 p.m.
The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place alongside the fountain near Pinkberry from 7 to 7:30 p.m. The fun will continue throughout the evening with costumed characters, special guests and performances by The El Segundo High School Chamber Choir, The El Segundo Middle School Choir, Legacy Dance Academy and more. Free hay rides will be available from 6 to 9 p.m. to transport guests between the three activity areas.

Prior to the event, local charities and school groups will be selling raffle tickets to win a $3,500 shopping spree to Plaza El Segundo (winner will receive gift cards only, no cash will be given). The winner will also be able to light the tree with Santa during the ceremony and eat cookies and cocoa with him.
“We want families to come early to enjoy the holiday décor and our fabulous restaurants and shops, and stay to enjoy the full evening of holiday activities,” said Collette Navarrette, Director of Marketing for Plaza El Segundo.
