City Recycles Christmas Trees

The City of Redondo Beach has organized Christmas tree pickups so trees will be recycled rather than sent to landfills.

The City of Redondo Beach recommends for all citizens to recycle their Christmas trees so the valuable resources can be reused rather than sent to landfills.

Starting Dec. 26 to Jan. 18, trees will be picked up during regular trash collection for any single family units; just leave the tree by the residence's cart.

For apartment buildings or multi-family units, tree deposits will be open on Dec. 29 and 30 along with Jan. 5, 6, 12, and 13. Be sure to bring address identifcation to prove you live in the City of Redondo Beach. Trees can be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Hopkins Wilderness Park, 1102 Camino Real
  • Dominguez Park, 200 Flagler Lane
  • Anderson Park, 2229 Ernest Avenue

Trees must be free of decorations and ornaments. Even trees that have been treated with fire retardant will be accepted. After the collection, all trees will be mulched.
