High Surf Advisory Issued for Redondo Beach

High surf, rip currents and sneaker waves are expected through Saturday night for west-facing beaches.

Potentially hazardous conditions due to a strong storm system is expected through late Saturday night for all west-facing beaches. Surfs reaching as high as 12 feet will impact Los Angeles County beaches, creating strong rip currents.

Swimmers are advised to always swim near a lifeguard. If you are caught in rip current, remember to swim parallel to the shore until freed from the powerful current.

Sneaker waves, capable of washing people into the sea from rocks, jetties and beaches, especially during high tide, are also likely during this period. Minor beach erosion may also occur.
