Mermaid Spotted in South Redondo
A mythological creature makes an appearance in the surf.
Residents of the Esplanade between Sapphire and Ruby streets saw quite the spectacle Sunday night when a mermaid and her photographer showed up on the sand.
Sandy Bagley alerted Patch to the incident—which, she said, "drew attention"—and sent photographs.
"I do not know what the purpose was, but (the photographer) had to carry her from site to site," Bagley wrote.
One photo shows the "mermaid" posing on a rock in the surf, while another shows the photographer helping her stand.
