Why Go: In honor of Earth Day, try your hand at drawing some marine life with chalk. Free chalk to the first 100 participants.

Where/When: Polliwog Park, 1601 Manhattan Beach Blvd., Manhattan Beach; Saturday, April 16, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Why Go: Bike parade, live music, food and eco-friendly activities? Sounds like fun for the whole family!

SCOTTISH FIDDLERS OF LOS ANGELES

Where/When: Hermosa Beach Playhouse, 710 Pier Ave., Hermosa Beach; Saturday, 7:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Why Go: The 40-member group returns to Hermosa Beach for a night of traditional song and dance. Don’t forget your kilt!

Pricing: $10 (free for kids under 12)

CANYON NIGHT HIKE 

Where/When: George F. Canyon, Rolling Hills Estates; Saturday, April 16, call for time.

Why Go: Take a stroll under the full moon on this easy to moderate hike.

HERMOSA BEACH BLOOD DRIVE

Where/When: Clark Building, 861 Valley Dr., Hermosa Beach; Sunday, April 17, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Why Go: All blood types are required to help those in need.
