The Summer of Music Festival returns to the Redondo Beach Pier on Saturday July 3, 2010 with two hours of free live music every Thursday and Saturday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., through Saturday, September 4, 2010. Located on the west end of the pier over the water the public is encouraged to bring a beach chair or towel for better enjoyment of the music and sunsets. The 2010 Summer of Music Festival, presented by the Redondo Pier Association is for all-ages and features a diverse line-up including Blues, Country, Flamenco, Island, Jazz, Reggae, Rock, Salsa, Soul and Surf music. This year the Redondo Pier Association added a special Independence Day featuring Hawaiian music and a hula dance show and welcomes back Danny Hamilton & the Mudslingers and Open Wide along with several new bands including Jeremy Buck & the Bang, Phil Gates Band, Steely Jam and Sweet Talk Radio and this year, Brixton South Bay is sponsoring a special guest artist.
