Andy & Renee's 22nd Annual Bob Dylanfest

 ,   Add to calendar
233 Lomita St El Segundo CA 90245  See map

What is the Dylanfest?
The Dylanfest is a seven & ½ hour celebration of the music of Bob Dylan. We started it in 1991 and have been holding the event ever since. The show started with our band, The Management and a few friends doing 4 sets of Bob Dylan songs and has grown to a 7-hour event with over 60 musicians performing over 60 Dylan songs. Our band, Hard Rain, is the "house band", and we are joined by solo artists, full bands and instrumentalists throughout the course of the day.

Tickets are $25 for Adults and $10 for Children ages 6-12. Children under 6 are free. Go to www.andyandrenee.com to purchase tickets and for more info. The event is also a fundraiser for the school.

When and where is the 2012 Dylanfest?
Saturday, May 19th, Doors open at 12:00pm, show runs from 12:30-8pm. Doors open at 12 noon. The show is at St. Anthony Parish School. The address is 233 Lomita St., El Segundo, CA 90245 ( Google Map), but the actual entrance to the event is around the corner on Sierra (one block west of Lomita).

Are all ages welcome?
Yes

Is the event inside or outside?
The event is outside. There will be some shaded areas, but bring a hat and sunscreen so you can enjoy the beautiful California sunshine! Bring a jacket for later...In case of rain, the event will move inside the gym.

Will there be food and drink available for purchase or should I bring my own?
There will be food and drinks (non-alcoholic drinks, water & sodas) plus beer, wine and some cocktails available for a reasonable price. The proceeds of the food concession go towards supporting the school. Please do not bring in any outside food or beverages, and bring ID if you plan on purchasing alcohol. No alcohol will be served without proper ID.

What about seating?
There will be some tables and chairs for eating. You may bring a beach chair if you like!

What about parking?
There is street parking around the school, but we have secured a parking at Wyle Labs at 128 Maryland St., El Segundo, CA 90245, around the corner from the school for additional parking. Go to Google mapsto view a map of the area and location of the parking lot.

Can I buy tickets the day of the event?
Yes, if you need to wait til the day of the event. We appreciate getting your tickets in advance so we know roughly how many to expect. Advance tickets can be purchased on our website, www.andyandrenee.comuntil Friday, May 18th. . If you are unable to get to the website, call Andy at 310-324-3663 for tickets. This is a great value for all this wonderful music!

Do I have to wear a costume?
As you may know, the Dylanfest started out as costume party where attendees and musicians wore interpretations of Bob Dylan lyrics. You aren't required to wear a costume, but it makes it a lot of fun when you do! Go to www.bobdylan.comto get ideas from Bob Dylan lyrics. Go to our website, www.andyandrenee.comto the "galleries" page to see pictures of past Dylanfests.

Do you have T-Shirts and CDs and DVDs?
Why yes we do! We will have t-shirts, and our highly-acclaimed Dylan Tribute CD, "It Takes A Lot To Laugh", and other Andy & Renee and Hard Rain CDs available the day of the show. We also have a fantastic 1 1/2 hour DVD of the 2009 Dylanfest available for purchase. Thanks for asking!
