National Novel Writing Month

From the Library: A month-long event starting on November 1st where participants pledge to write 50,000-word novels in thirty days.   This is an organized working session.  There will be some writing games.  Please come prepared to write on your own computer or by hand.  Basically, you write with your own materials.  If you bring a laptop to the library, make sure it is fully-charged.    A volunteer from NaNoWriMo (www.nanowrimo.org) will be at the library to inspire participants with writing games, a pep talk, and a demonstration of web-based writing tools to help transform novel writing into an achievable and fun endeavor.  Meet NaNoWriMo’s liaison, Chris Wottawa, on November 12th, and start writing that novel.

This is a free program for ages 13 and up.   It will be held in the Meeting Room on the 2nd floor of  Redondo Beach Main Library which is located at 303 N. Pacific Coast Highway in Redondo Beach.  Free parking is available in the lower level garage.
