A fun and poignant tale, produced by nonprofit arts organization, Fantasia Family Music, this musical showcases the history of the South Bay surf scene from its roots in the early 1900s. Featuring a nationally recognized script, with characters from baby sea turtles to cool surfer dudes, this story captures the history, the musical sounds and the water life of the southern California beaches that were largely untapped until the arrival of surf legend and lifeguard, George Freeth. Musical contributors include surf guitar legend Paul Johnson (Mr. Moto), Jeff Foskett of Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys, as well as award-winning local singer/songwriter, John Brown who will accompany with his band of L.A.’s best musicians.
