Update 7 p.m.: Reservations for Ludo Lefebvre's "Casa PuLudo" at Casa Pulido on Wednesday night are now closed.
Original story:
Celebrity chef Ludo Lefebvre and his wife Krissy will temporarily transform local Mexican restaurant into Casa PuLudo on Wednesday for the final episode of their new television show, LudoBites America, the Los Angeles Times announced Tuesday morning.
The television show is based on the Lefebvres' pop-up restaurant LudoBites, which calls itself a "touring" restaurant "that has no permanent address and no phone number," according to the chef's website. The restaurant remains open for one night.
According to the L.A. Times article, Ludo Lefebvre, a South Bay resident, plans to follow the theme "tapas French Mex" and serve dishes such as "ceviche with cucumber water and purslane; 'French-style' fried tacos filled with brandade; squid with chorizo; crispy octopus with smoky chipotle; beef with black rise and lemon; and fois gras quesadilla with caramelized choucroute, radish, cheese and mustard vinaigrette."
Foodies anxious for a reservation should call 310-540-8028 at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The restaurant will open at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The television series will debut in mid-July on the Sundance Channel.
