Bella Gelato Serves Sweet Treats at Pier
One of the newest businesses on the Redondo Beach Pier serves gelato and sorbet.
Bella Gelato, one of the newest tenants of the Redondo Landing on the Redondo Beach Pier, serves up a treat perfect for hot summer days: a variety of flavors of gelato and sorbet.
The gelato shop opened less than a month ago, shortly before the soft opening of the pier location of Neighborhood Grinds.
Bella Gelato offers a wide variety of gelato flavors that changes every day, among them spumoni, white chocolate with Nutella, chocolate, white chocolate with raspberry, pistacio and green tea. Sorbet flavors include strawberry, mango, pomegranate and blood orange.
Made with milk instead of cream, gelato enthusiasts say the product is less fattening than ice cream with a smoother consistency.
Bella Gelato, located at 100A Fisherman's Wharf in South Redondo Beach, is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the weekends.
