Kilkenny's Is Transformed Into Breakwall

Kilkenny's—made over, renamed and revamped, courtesy of 'Bar Rescue'—draws a crowd.

South Bay surfing legend Mike Purpus—who gained fame through surfing the surf break that now gives its name to the made-over bar—joined the crowd at on its opening night.

Under the guidance of Jon Taffer, host of an upcoming TV reality series called Bar Rescue, from what one former patron described as a "sticky-floor" bar to Breakwall, a brand-new oceanfront spot to park it at the end of the day.

Most people interviewed liked the new look and feel, though there were some complaints of lagging opening-night service. One interviewee suggested that to be a truly oceanfront destination, the bar should have a large dining/drinking section open to the sea breezes right outside.

I am just now seeing the epi, but @JN I agree! Idk YYYY Allie is so afraid of this loser! If he's not helping then what's the point! I'm hoping in these last 10minits she grows a spine and decides with her sister to cut their losses while they still have a chance!
