DOMA Kitchen Features International Menu

DOMA Kitchen opened less than a week and a half ago in South Redondo Beach.

A new café in South Redondo Beach has its sights set on "glocal" cuisine—an international menu with local ingredients from the farmers market.

DOMA Kitchen, located at 420 N. Pacific Coast Hwy., opened its doors and airy patio dining area less than two weeks ago.

"We just always cook really good food at home," said Alexandra Galperin, who owns the eatery with her mother. "So we just decided we should open a café."

So far, the most popular dishes are a grilled lamb sandwich on artisan ciabatta bread and a chili lamb salad. The restaurant serves hot lunches and dinners, but also offers pastries and coffee at breakfast.

It's a little restaurant with big plans, according to Galperin. The Redondo Beach family plans to hold art shows and events with live music. They will also offer catering services.

DOMA Kitchen is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
