has served the Los Angeles metro area for 26 years. Offering both thin crust and deep dish pizzas, which the founders were raised on, the pizzeria's pies have been a favorite—and perhaps the local buzz as of late. For the health conscious, there is a gluten-free option in addition to the customizable and standard salads. Wings, cheese sticks, garlic bread, kids' and family menus, and personal pizza combos are also available.
A friendly staff member offered free samples of hot and fresh pepperoni or veggie pizza to anyone that walked by. Though we were already walking in with the intention of buying a pizza, this gesture sealed the deal.
The dining area was a revolving door of deliverymen picking up their next order and patrons picking up their dinner. It looked like it would be a busy night even though it was only the early part of the evening.
After several moments, a nice, hot Fresh Momma's Favorite was brought to the table. Steam and the scent of garlic from this fresh pizza filled the air. Each slice pulled away with ease as the warm cheese hung off each piece in strands, and barely any oil was found on the bottom of the box—a good sign. The natural flavors of the garlic, spinach, mushrooms and pesto truly came through.
The pizza itself was not cut into the traditional eight pie pieces but sliced into smaller strips, which gave it a unique look. It was a satisfying yet not overfilling dinner.
To be nitpicky, some plates and silverware would have been nice so we didn't have to eat the pizza straight out of the box. Otherwise, Fresh Brothers is definitely up on the list of pizza places to call when making dinner seems too tiresome.
Fresh Brothers has two South Bay locations—one in Redondo Beach and one in —along with many in the greater Los Angeles area. Please check out their website for locations, menus and phone numbers.
