Hawthorne Boulevard Gets Makeover

With the opening of new stores in Torrance and Redondo Beach, Hawthorne Boulevard is once again becoming the place to shop.

As the city prepares to revitalize its waterfront, Hawthorne Boulevard has been undergoing a revitalization of its own, the Daily Breeze reported over the weekend.

The street—otherwise known as County Route N7 or State Route 107—is the main commercial artery that begins at the Palos Verdes Peninsula and runs through Torrance, Redondo Beach, Lawndale and Hawthorne in the South Bay.

Over the past year or so, Redondo Beach has seen its share of grand openings along its main stretch of Hawthorne Boulevard, which represents North Redondo Beach's eastern border with Torrance until Redondo Beach Boulevard.
