Kings Viewing Parties in Redondo Beach
Redondo Beach Cafe and Gasser Lounge are both hosting viewing parties for the first game of hockey's Stanley Cup Finals.
The Los Angeles Kings head to the first game of the Stanley Cup finals on Wednesday night, and at least two Redondo Beach establishments will be hosting viewing parties.
In South Redondo Beach, on Pacific Coast Highway is recognized by the Kings as a "Kings Hockey Hot Spot." The restaurant, which is well known for its mixture of Greek, American and Canadian cuisine, will be holding a contest for a $10 gift card, according to its Facebook page.
Those who decide to go to Redondo Beach Cafe should bring their game face. The establishment says it's expecting reporters from the Daily Breeze, CBC and NBC to show up.

For the older crowd, on Aviation Boulevard in North Redondo Beach is "bringing the sights, sounds and smells of the stadium … to the bar," according to the establishment's Facebook page. The party starts at 5 p.m.
The Facebook page also indicates that representatives from the L.A. Kings will contribute something to Wednesday night's party.

The Kings' game against the New Jersey Devils will air at 5 p.m. Wednesday on NBC.
Redondo Beach Cafe is located at 1511 S. Pacific Coast Hwy. in South Redondo Beach. Gasser Lounge is located at 1500 Aviation Blvd. in North Redondo Beach.
