Neighborhood Grinds Opens on Redondo Beach Pier
A popular North Redondo Beach coffee shop opens a new location on the Redondo Beach Pier.
Neighborhood Grinds, a coffee shop in North Redondo Beach, held a soft opening for its new location on the Redondo Beach Pier on Saturday.
The location in the Redondo Landing portion of the pier has been in the works for nearly a year. The Redondo Beach City Council approved the lease for 100B Fisherman's Wharf—formerly McConnell's Ice Cream—in June 2012.
The owners originally hoped to open the new location by July 2012.
At the time, owner Fred Lie said he hoped to serve beer and wine at the coffee shop on the pier; however, it's not yet clear if they're available.
