Redondo Restaurant Reopens After Failed Inspection

New Tokyo was closed May 16 and reopened May 20.

A South Redondo Beach eatery was temporarily shut down for five days earlier this month after it failed a health inspection.

New Tokyo Take Out at 707 N. Pacific Coast Hwy. was closed May 16 due to vermin infestation and vermin harborage, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public House.

The restaurant reopened May 20.

When the restaurant was previously inspected in mid-January of this year, it received an "A" with a score of 96 out of 100.
