Dave Mazor founded Pacific Sports Tours after falling in love with the South Bay. Mazor answered five questions from Patch about his business.

Patch: How did Pacific Sports Tours get started?
Dave Mazor: My business was started in 1990. I was running a very successful student ski tour company in the San Fernando Valley but found myself driving to the South Bay every weekend to stay at a friends house on the strand. I decided I had to move to the South Bay and thus also decided to start my own business and open an office at the Sportcenter.

Patch: What's Pacific Sports Tours known for?
Mazor: To summarize, I put together great vacations for the best price possible. People work very hard all year long and look forward to their vacations. These day budget is also a major concern. I use my 30+ years experience in the travel business to make sure that my clients have a great vacation experience.

Patch: What's unique about Pacific Sports Tours?
Mazor: Personal service. I always get back to my clients the same day they call or email and usually within a few minutes. I handle all of the travel arrangements personally! Also, though I book all types of travel, I am one of the few travel professionals around that specializes in booking ski tours. I book tours for many of the local ski clubs.

Patch: What's the best part about being located in the South Bay?
Mazor: Location, location, location…..I can walk to the beach and my kids go to great schools! When I deal with clients from out of the area they all have either heard of the South Bay or in many cases have lived here as some point in their lives.

Patch: If you could give your customers one piece of advice, what would it be?
Mazor: The internet is a great tool to search for travel,  but once you know where you want to go you should book through an experienced travel agent. Even if it costs a little more—and in most cases, it does not—there is no substitute for experience in helping you to maximize your precious vacation time!
