Small Business Spotlight: SouthBayResidential

Real estate is big business in the Beach Cities, and SouthBayResidential aims to make the process easier. Marketing manager Ani Stepanian answered five questions from Patch.

Patch: How did SouthBayResidential get started?
Ani Stepanian: SouthBayResidential was founded in early 2006 with the hopes of simplifying the home buying process and providing our clients with service they had never experienced or expected from their Realtor. 

Patch: What's SouthBayResidential known for?
Stepanian: We’re a team of local Realtors serving the entire South Bay. We also run one of the most useful and most visited real estate websites in the South Bay.

Patch: What's unique about SouthBayResidential?
Stepanian: We work as a no-pressure, no-strings attached company. Closing deals isn’t our priority. We focus first and foremost on what feels right for our clients. 

Patch: What's the best part about being located in the South Bay?
Stepanian: The proximity to the beach and small neighborhoods really drive our love and passion for the South Bay. It’s really great being able to live and work within smaller communities while being relatively close to greater Los Angeles. Our town’s also very walkable. 

Patch: If you could give your customers one piece of advice, what would it be?
Stepanian: There is no perfect formula for the best time to buy a home. Trying to time the market can prove challenging. There are often good deals to be had during anytime of the year. Plus, agents will sometimes know of off-market properties and pocket listings that aren’t available to the public yet. Pocket listings can often be a very good deal because they clear the playing field in a competitive market. They give us an opportunity to show our clients homes that aren’t available to everyone.
