Smashburger to Open in South Redondo
The Redondo Beach location will be the hamburger chain's second location in the Los Angeles area.
Smashburger, a "fast casual" eatery specializing in made-to-order hamburgers, will open in Redondo Beach on Wednesday—the chain's second location in the greater Los Angeles area.
A VIP preview dinner and ribbon-cutting are scheduled for Tuesday, according to news releases from the chain.
Smashburger founder Tom Ryan, who was recently recognized as one of the Top 25 Food Entrepreneurs of the Last Quarter Century by Gourmet Magazine, will be in town for the opening.

Michael Jenkins of South Bay Foodies describes the menu as "burger focused"; however, the restaurant also offers vegetarian options and chicken.
Smashburger is located at 409 N. Pacific Coast Highway, Suite 110, in South Redondo Beach. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
