Tara Thai's Food Great for Cold Temps

It was only a matter of time before I reviewed . After all, I've reviewed and , so of course, I had to review a third Thai restaurant in the area.

Tara Thai is a cozy little restaurant in a strip mall right off Pacific Coast Highway. It has quite a few tables, so be sure to bring your friends.

They serve the typical Thai fare of curries, soups, and of course, noodle dishes.

I started off with a cup of tom yum soup. The piping hot broth was perfect for this cool weather we've been having. The soup was very light in texture, with such a fragrant mixture of flavors including lime, and the star ingredient, lemongrass. It's a very soothing soup—perfect if you're battling any colds this winter.

Their entrees are served in very large portions, so there's enough to share and enough to take home too.

We split an order of pad see you and chicken noodles.

The pad see you was served with tender beef, eggs and broccoli. The sauce was very mild and the noodles were plentiful. A little definitely goes a long way with this dish.

The chicken noodle is another rendition of the popular pad thai. The noodles are flat and served with crushed peanuts, eggs and bean sprouts. The ingredients blended together very well with the juicy chicken. Another comforting noodle dish which was very rich in flavor. 

With several Thai restaurants located minutes from each other, it's hard to declare a winner; however, give Tara Thai a try. With its cozy booths, friendly staff, and generous portions, you can't go wrong. Tara Thai also has lunch specials and offers delivery.
