Threads for Men in Riviera Village to Close

Clothing store Threads for Men in South Redondo Beach is shutting its doors.

Threads for Men, a men's clothing store in Riviera Village, is going out of business.

The signs—white with red letters screaming "Going out of business!" and "Store closing" in all-capital letters—appeared in the store's window in October.

An employee at the store declined to speak with Patch about the store's closing, instead saying she would tell the owner to call this reporter. The owner did not contact Patch.

The store, which sells casual men's beachwear like Tommy Bahama-brand shirts, is offering 60 percent off much of its stock.

It's not clear if anything will replace the store.

The owner closed his men's clothing store, Winston & Co. Clothiers, in the Promenade on the Peninsula earlier this year.
