Two South Redondo Beach restaurants are on Zagat's 2013 list of the top restaurants in Los Angeles County, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara and Orange County, according to a statement from Zagat released Monday.
Based on the ratings of 18,450 people for more than 2,000 eateries, the dining guide picked the best restaurants for dozens of cuisines.
The Original Pancake House on Pacific Coast Highway in Riviera Village was named the best diner. Though it's a chain restaurant with more than 100 franchises throughout the U.S., the Redondo Beach restaurant is the only one in the Los Angeles area.
Addi's Tandoor on Torrance Boulevard, which has been recognized in the past for its authentic dishes, took home top honors in the Indian food category.
Additionally, the Cheesecake Factory was named the No. 1 chain restaurant, and In N Out Burger selected as the No. 1 best buy eatery.
In nearby Manhattan Beach, MB Post and Petros were named No. 1 for small plates and Greek food, respectively.
