Memorial, Fundraiser Set for Slain Bouncer

The memorial and potluck in honor of Terie Colecchi is set for Sunday, June 10, with a benefit show for Colecchi's son on Thursday, June 14.

The bouncer who died after being attacked by two men outside the bar early Saturday morning will be remembered at both a memorial potluck and a benefit concert during the coming days.

The potluck is set for noon Sunday at Pats II Cocktails.

In addition, a benefit show for Colecchi's 11-year-old son is scheduled for June 14 at 7 p.m. at the . A $20 donation at the door is requested. The event will feature raffle prizes, a silent auction and live music featuring special guest Bobby Blotzer of Ratt.

Colecchi, 49, died after a fight outside Pats II Cocktails. Police believe the fight began when he tried to deny entrance to two men because the bar was closing. , of Redondo Beach, who is believed to be traveling with his three children, ages 3 to 11 years old, in a black, four-door 1999 BMW 528i with chrome rims and license plate No. 4GTT805. He has family in the Wilmington area, and police think he may be there.
