New Year's Day Closures in Redondo Beach

Government offices, courts, schools, libraries, banks and post offices will be closed Tuesday in observance of New Year's Day.

There will be no trash collection or street sweeping in Redondo Beach, according to the city. Trash collection will be delayed one day. The normal street sweeping schedule will resume Wednesday.

Metro buses will operate on a Sunday schedule, but all rail lines and the Metro Orange Line will operate around the clock to accommodate people going to the Tournament of Roses Parade and Rose Bowl football game.

Specific schedules for bus lines can be found on Metro's website at www.metro.net. Normal operations will resume Wednesday.

Beach Cities Transit buses will not be operating, and WAVE Dial-A-Ride paratransit will be operating on a holiday schedule. WAVE will operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.
