Free Rides on New Rapid Bus Route From Long Beach to Galleria

Torrance Transit will introduce two new bus lines at an event Thursday.

A new rapid bus route from Torrance Transit will take riders from the South Bay Galleria in North Redondo Beach to the Long Beach Transit Gallery in downtown Long Beach and back, according to a news release from the city of Torrance.

The Line 3 Rapid is an east-to-west bus service, and in celebration of its opening, Torrance Transit will offer free rides on the line on Thursday and Friday.

During a kickoff Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Del Amo Fashion Center parking lot in front of Macy's in Torrance, Torrance Transit will also unveil the new Line 4, which is part of Metro's ExpressLanes project on the 110 Freeway.

Line 4 will connect the South Bay with downtown Los Angeles, according to Torrance Transit.
