Weather Alert: Wind Advisory Issued

Wind advisories are issued when forecasters predict winds greater than 35 mph.

A wind advisory has been declared for Redondo Beach and the rest of the Los Angeles County coast, according to the National Weather Service.

The advisory will remain in effect until 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Forecasters predict 20-30 mph west to northwest winds with gusts of up to 40 mph.

"The strongest winds will occur near the immediate coast," forecasters said. "Strong winds can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles."

The low temperature for Tuesday night is anticipated to be about 50 degrees. Wednesday's weather is forecasted to be sunny with a high near 69 and light and variable winds, which are forecast to be western at 10-15 mph by the afternoon.
