Avery Aames and Daryl Wood Gerber Sign in Redondo Beach

Daryl Wood Gerber moved to Los Angeles to try her luck as an actress, and appeared in many commercials and on TV shows such as “Murder She Wrote” and “Matlock.” She then had the brilliant idea of creating more of the sort of roles she’d like to play by writing them herself! This didn’t quite work out, but it was enough to get her to try writing again, and to stick with it. Her popular Cheese Shop Mystery series, written as Avery Aames, is on its sixth installment with Days of Wine and Roquefort and includes both another murder for cheese shop owner Charlotte Bessette to solve and some delicious recipes. Inherit the Word, the second book in the Cookbook Nook mystery series, is set in a culinary bookshop and café.
