Beer and BBQ at Select Beer Store

A special celebration with Anchor Brewing will be held at Select Beer Store on Thursday November 29, from 5 to 10 pm, featuring limited and seasonal release beers from the SanFrancisco brewery. A wide variety of different and delicious barbeque foods will also be available from local catering company Wyatt’s BBQ.

During the event, Select Beer Store will be tapping special kegs of the seasonal release, 2012 Christmas Ale, which will be poured side-by-side with a 2011 vintage Christmas Ale. Each year the rich, dark spiced seasonal ale is brewed with a different special secret ingredient. Other Anchor beers will include the limited edition Zymaster Series Mark’s Mild, a lightly-hopped, low alcohol beer accentuated with notes of caramel, toffee, and nutty flavors; Anchor Porter, with a deep dark color,and rich chocolate, toffee and coffee flavors; and the classic, Anchor Steam, first brewed in 1896.

The beers will be paired with the amazing barbeque specialties from Wyatt’s BBQ, including tri-tip and hot link sandwiches, baby back ribs, chicken, BBQ baked beans, roasted corn on the cob, Wyatt’s cheesy potatoes and strawberry spinach green salad.
