Grand Opening Celebration: 10 a.m.

  • Local children making bears to be donated to Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeleswhich will help distribute the bears to local children in need of a teddy bear hug.
  • Ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening with spokesperson from Build-A-Bear Workshop, Mayor Scotto and Tamika Banks from Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles.
  • First 100 Guests invited to make a special bear for free to be donated to Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles 
  • Family-friendly entertainment throughout the day, including appearances by Bearemy, the Build-A-Bear Workshop mascot.

To celebrate the grand opening of the new Build-A-Bear Workshop store at Del Amo Fashion Center. The new store heightens the traditional bear-making experience with a bold new design that incorporates modern technology. The updated store allows Guests of all ages to personalize the bear-making process and can offer a different experience each time they visit.
