Hamilton, the Pig Who Kissed a Principal

Hamilton—a 100-pound teacup pig—lives in Redondo Beach.

Since he moved to Redondo Beach two years ago, Hamilton The Pig has made a name for himself in the neighborhood, according to a report in the Easy Reader.

He kissed a principal at a Torrance elementary school to celebrate a 900-plus API score (see video above). He eats a gluten-free and vegetarian diet. He plays tag. He wears sunscreen and a tank top in the summer.

Purchased as a pet for the Wolf family, whose 9-year-old daughter Haven has severe allergies, Hamilton was supposed to be about 45 pounds when fully grown, according to the newspaper. The teacup pig now weighs about 100 pounds, so he enjoys walks to keep the weight off.

"Sometimes it takes me 10 minutes to go around the block, and sometimes it takes 45," Chiao Wolf, Hamilton's owner, told reporter Rachel Reeves. "He has lots of paparazzi and lots of pictures taken of him. He's all over Facebook."
