Residents Name Best Trick-or-Treat Destinations

Top spots include The Avenues, El Nido, Riviera Village and more.

This week we asked our Redondo Beach Facebook followers to share their favorite spot for trick-or-treating and they had a large list to share.

A few people mentioned Riviera Village, which will host its annual Halloween Trick or Treat event, where shops will hand out candy from 4 to 6 p.m. Note restaurants will be open, but Catalina Avenue will be closed from Avenue I to Palos Verdes Boulevard to keep kids safe.

Here are the other spots you mentioned:

Jeremy Hutchings suggested visiting 182nd through 185th streets on the west side of Inglewood Avenue and La Lore Vargas Brown agreed, "Yep . . . Spreckels Lane and up to Fisk and up to 184th."

Wendy Ezzes suggested Pullman lane and Anthony Kelly said El Nido is a pretty good spot, too.

"Get there early, or no parking," he warned.

Finally, Pam Aspel suggested The Avenues along wit Helberta, Gertrude and Irena.

Thank you to everyone who offered suggestions.

Wherever you choose to go and whatever you choose to do tonight, Redondo Beach Patch wishes you a safe and fun Halloween.
