Coffee Bean recently held a Valentine's Day Facebook poll and discovered that 34 percent of first-time daters would prefer to meet at a coffee shop to have peace and quiet while engaging in quality conversation.
Twenty-four percent of respondents said they'd choose a coffee shop so they could have a quick date and end it early if necessary—no need to fork over big bucks for a date going awry. And for a comfortable setting with no pressure, 25 percent said they'd choose a coffee shop on a first date.
