Jackie's South Bay Weekend Guide for August 29

Labor Day Weekend has arrived. Yep, that’s right – after this weekend, we’ll all be back from vacation, the kids will be back in school and the tourists will have departed. This is also the last weekend for the fabulous summer concert series we’ve enjoyed all summer long throughout the South Bay. I’ve listed each of them here, so if you plan accordingly, you can catch a concert every night.

The Redondo Beach Pier Association presents the Summer of Music Concert Series every Thursday and Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. These concerts are free to the public, so gather your family, friends and neighbors for a casual, relaxing evening of entertainment the South Bay way.  Tonight, Thursday, August 29 and Saturday, August 31 are the final concerts of the season. If you haven’t attended yet, this will be your last chance until next summer! The Redondo Beach Pier is located at 100 Fisherman’s Wharf in Redondo Beach. For more information, directions and concert schedule, visit the website at http://www.redondopier.com/event/summer-of-music-free-concerts-on-the-pier-saturdays-3-15/.

Terrenea is proud to present the Nelson’s Summer Concert Series. Every Friday, Saturday and select Sundays from 5 to 9 p.m., guests will enjoy live music in Nelson’s brand new Beer Garden overlooking the deep blue. Guests will enjoy delicious food, fabulous music and incomparable vistas. The final concerts of the season happen this weekend beginning Thursday and running through Sunday.
