88-Year-Old Man Drives into a Building on PCH

No one was injured.

An 88-year-old man accidentally drove his car into a commercial building on Pacific Coast Highway and Avenue A, the Redondo Beach Police Department reported.

At about 5 p.m  Sunday, the driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the north wall of a building at 901 S. Pacific Coast Highway, said Sgt. Shawn Freeman.

"Both the vehicle and the building sustained damage," Freeman said, but no one was injured.

The driver was referred to a DMV Driver Safety Office for evaluation, Freeman added.
