Alarm Scares off Would-Be Burglars

Reports from the Redondo Beach police blotter.

Between Feb. 19 and Feb. 21, someone burglarized a home in the 700 block of Meyer Lane. The suspects were able to enter an unlocked garage in which they cut a lock on a storage unit. Stolen were tools, including several skill saws and a table saw and three fishing poles.

On Feb. 20, Redondo Beach police were able to recover two motorcycles stolen from a local residence last year in the 10400 block of S. Alameda Street. Returned to the rightful owner were a 2013 Ducati, Monster 796.

At 3:30 a.m. Feb. 20, someone tried to break into a business in the 2700 block of Manhattan Beach Boulevard. According to the report, two men pried open the back doors but fled when the alarm went off.
