Autistic Man Missing in Redondo Beach Found in Beverly Hills

Police was able to identify him by his clothing.

A 56-year-old autistic man from Inglewood, who disappeared May 30 while on a supervised outing at the Fun Factory near the foot of the Redondo Beach pier, is back with his family, authorities said today.

Eric Ferguson was found in Beverly Hills on Monday evening, according to Sgt. Shawn Freeman of the Redondo Beach Police Department.

Freeman said its unknown how Ferguson traveled to Beverly Hills or how long he had been in the area before he was spotted by a Beverly Hills police officer at La Cienega Park.

The officer was able to identify him by his clothing, including the fact that his name had been written inside his baseball cap. Ferguson was only able to tell the officers that his name was Eric.
