Blotter: More Bicycle Thefts

Street robbery in Redondo Beach

Police arrested a male juvenile Sunday evening on suspicion of robbery. Police believe the boy "forcibly" took property from a victim in the 100 block of West Torrance Boulevard before fleeing. The boy was caught and arrested, and no loss was reported.

Commercial robbery in Redondo Beach

Someone concealed merchandise and left a business in the 300 block of South Pacific Coast Highway on Wednesday evening without paying for the cosmetics he stole. When a loss prevention agent tried to stop him, the thief fought him off and fled in a car. Police describe the thief as a 5-foot-10-inch, 220-pound black man who was with a black woman, who was not otherwise described. They left in a silver 1997 Ford, license plate NO. 6XZL773.

Commercial burglaries in Redondo Beach

A wallet, iPhone and cash were stolen from behind the counter of a business in the 400 block of South Pacific Coast Highway on Wednesday afternoon.

Keith John Bowling and Barrett Andrew are accused from entering an open business in the 300 block of South Pacific Coast Highway on Tuesday evening and removing items without paying. No loss was reported as the items were recovered.

A woman used counterfeit money to purchase sheets at Target on Kingsdale Avenue on Monday evening. She pocketed the change. Police described her as a 5-foot-6-inch, 125-pound white woman in her 30s.

Randy Lee Drinkard was arrested midday Monday on suspicion of faking identification to get a retail credit card from Kohls on Hawthorne Boulevard. No loss was reported.

Residential burglaries in Redondo Beach

A burglar crawled through an unlocked rear window of a home in the 3400 block of Vail Avenue on Wednesday and stole cash.

A bicycle was stolen from a parking garage in the 600 block of South Catalina Avenue at some point Monday or Tuesday.

A burglar entered a garage in the 2100 block of Farrell Avenue and stole two bicycles and a cable lock midday Sunday.

Cash, a money clip, vehicle registration and insurance information were stolen from a locked vehicle in a garage in the 2700 block of Vanderbilt Lane at some point between Sept. 21 and Saturday.

A bicycle and a bike lock were stolen from a parking garage in the 700 block of Meyer Lane at some point between the evening of Sept. 20 and Saturday morning.

Someone entered a garage in the 1800 block of Spreckles Lane on Sept. 19 and stole a bicycle with a child seat adapter, a bicycle with a gel seat and a bike lock.

Stolen vehicles in Redondo Beach

A green 2005 Buick Rendezvous sport utility vehicle, license plate No. 5NJH984, was stolen from the 500 block of North PCH on Sept. 18-19.

A red 1996 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with no license plate was stolen Sept. 18-19 from the 2500 block of Vorhees Avenue.

A black 1997 Honda Civic stolen from the parking lot of the South Bay Galleria on Sept. 8 was recovered Wednesday by the Torrance Police Department.

Residential burglary in the Hollywood Riviera

Jewelry and cash were stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Via Riviera between Sept. 19-20.

Theft in the Hollywood Riviera

Bicycles that had been secured were stolen from a parking garage in the 600 block of Paseo de la Playa on Sept. 21.

Vehicle burglary in the Hollywood Riviera

A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of Via Los Altos on Sept. 21.
