Officers with the Torrance Police Department shut down several streets in the Hollywood Riviera on Monday afternoon to hunt for a burglar, according to a police spokesman.
The possible burglary took place in the 300 block of Paseo de Las Delicias, said Torrance police Sgt. Steven Jenkinson. Police received the call shortly before 2 p.m.
Officers set up a perimeter and located and detained the suspect, Jenkinson said. The perimeter was broken down by 3:30 p.m.
Since the beginning of July, the Hollywood Riviera—which includes an area where homes are located in the city of Torrance but have Redondo Beach addresses—has seen at least two residential burglaries, according to the Torrance Police Department's online crime map.
