DUI Checkpoint Set for Friday Night

The checkpoint will take place at an undisclosed location within the Redondo Beach city limits.

The Redondo Beach Police Department's Traffic Unit will conduct a driver's license and DUI checkpoint Friday, according to a news release from the department.

The checkpoint will take place from 7 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday somewhere within the Redondo Beach city limits.

"Officers will be contacting drivers passing through the checkpoint for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment," according to the release. "Officers will also check drivers for proper licensing and will strive to delay motorists only momentarily."
