High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash

Witnesses said four Hispanic men fled the scene after the crash.

A high-speed chase of a suspected stolen vehicle ended in a crash with one person injured Friday night, authorities said.

Redondo Beach police said the suspects led them on a short chase that started at 7:55 p.m. in the 2000 block of Huntington Lane and ended about one minute later on McKay Lane, when their vehicle crashed into another vehicle at Marshallfield Lane. The driver of the other vehicle was complaining of pain but did not require transportation to the hospital, Sgt. Alan Beck said.

Jo Henrich, who lives in the area but did not witness the accident, said she heard from witnesses that after the crash four Hispanic men got out of the suspected stolen vehicle and fled. Police confirmed that the suspects left on foot, but they were unable to confirm the ethnicity or number suspects.
