Richard Allen pleads guilty in a child pornography case in Virginia.

A Redondo Beach man is one of five to plead guilty in Virginia to one count of conspiring to receive, distribute, possess and access child pornography, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Monday.

Redondo Beach resident Richard Phillip Allen, 66, and eight other men were charged in an indictment unsealed Feb. 2, the DOJ said in a news release.

Allen received emails from another defendant that contained links to compressed files and attachments depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, according to court documents.
