A man was hospitalized Thursday night after a single-car collision near the intersection of Beryl Street and Prospect Avenue in South Redondo Beach.
The crash happened after 10 p.m.
Photographs taken by Trina Lucas at the scene show a badly damaged silver, older-model sedan upside-down near the center of the street. The photos also show paramedics with the Redondo Beach Fire Department caring for a man on a stretcher and loading him into an ambulance.
The street was apparently closed after the crash.
Details regarding the cause of the crash or the condition of the victim were not available at publication time.
